Schloss Strauweiler stands in the Dhünn valley, in Unterodenthal, part of the municipality of Odenthal. First recorded in 1347, the building seen today largely dates from a reconstruction around 1500, with a residential block flanked by four round corner turrets under a steep hipped roof. Privately owned by the family zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg since 1955, the estate is not open to visitors.
