To make a day of it

Schloss Ehreshoven stands in Engelskirchen (Oberbergischer Kreis), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Recorded dating: 14th century. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Ehreshoven Castle stands on grounds first recorded in the 14th century, set back from the Agger valley in the Oberbergischer Kreis. Owned by the von Nesselrode family for five centuries, it still shows a few medieval remains at the rear of the manor house, while most of what visitors see today, the four-winged outer court and the three-winged manor, was built at the end of the 17th century. Since 1924 the site has housed a foundation for noble ladies, which means public access is generally limited to the exterior and grounds.
