Schloss Steinburg stands in Hunderdorf, Bavaria, on the site of a medieval castle once held by the lords of Steinberg, a family that died out in 1414. The present four-wing complex owes its current form to building work carried out between 1821 and 1825, when the main residential wing and the former forester's house were completed. A baroque-looking former stable in the northeast corner was converted into a chapel in 1821. Through inheritance and marriage, the estate now belongs to the Poschinger-Bray family.
