Schloss Schieder stands in Schieder-Schwalenberg (Kreis Lippe), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Schieder stands at Schieder-Schwalenberg on the banks of the Emmer, set within a park that preserves the former baroque garden of the counts of Lippe-Brake. Built in the early 18th century by the Tyrolean architect Joseph Falck for Count Rudolph zur Lippe-Brake, the building shows a restrained design with a tall hipped roof and flat triangular gables, in the Dutch classicist style then common in Westphalia. It served as the summer residence of the princely house of Lippe until 1918 and today houses municipal facilities, while its park, open to the public since 1914, retains part of its formal layout, reconstructed in its southern half.
What to know

- The site lies along the Emmer river, close to the centre of Schieder-Schwalenberg.
