To make a day of it
Schloss Oberlangenstadt stands in Küps (Landkreis Kronach), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.
Schloss Oberlangenstadt stands beside the Rodach river at Küps, surrounded by an extensive landscaped park. Built between 1862 and 1864 for the young Baron Otokar August von Künsberg to designs by Ludwig Volz, court architect to the kings of Bavaria, it was raised in a Tudor-influenced neo-Gothic style of a scale unusual for Upper Franconia. Its octagonal corner towers, a slender keep linked by a two-storey bridge, and a Moorish dining room modelled on Granada's Alhambra give the building its distinctive character.
