Schloss Michelbach stands on the site of a former moated castle in the Michelbach district of Alzenau, Bavaria. The present baroque building dates from a reconstruction carried out around 1700 by the local lord Ferdinand Kaspar Joseph von Wrede, built upon 16th century foundations. Two octagonal stair towers flank the main front beneath a mansard roof, and the adjoining garden holds more than a hundred rose bushes in some fifty varieties. The small schloss now houses the museum of the town of Alzenau.
