Schloss Massenbach stands in Schwaigern (Landkreis Heilbronn), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Massenbach stands at Schwaigern, in the Landkreis Heilbronn, in Baden-Württemberg, set in the valley of the Biberbach stream northwest of the village of Massenbach. Built around 1760 for Georg Wilhelm von Massenbach in Rococo style, this three-winged, two-storey building with sandstone corner quoins and a mansard roof is still lived in and used commercially today, its wings containing private flats and offices. The restored Baroque central hall, refurbished in 2003, hosts civil weddings and private functions, and the grounds are also the setting for an Easter market and a Christmas market.
What to know
- The Schloss today functions mainly as private housing and offices rather than a museum open to visitors.
- The Baroque central hall and the vaulted sandstone cellar can be hired for weddings, private parties or business events.
- The grounds occasionally host public events such as an Easter market and a Christmas market.
- No opening hours or admission fees are published, so seeing the building usually means attending one of these events or viewing it from outside.
