Schloss Loersfeld stands in Kerpen (Rhein-Erft-Kreis), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Recorded dating: 15th century. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Loersfeld stands at Kerpen, set within a ten hectare English landscape park considered one of the finest of its kind in the region. Its origins go back to the 15th century, though the building's current appearance owes much to a remodelling carried out around 1840 under Adolf von Fürstenberg, who also laid out the surrounding park. Parquet floors, doors and stucco ceilings from that period survive inside, along with a family library begun in 1672 and part of an ancestral portrait gallery. One room is dedicated to the memory of racing driver Wolfgang Berghe von Trips, who died in a race in 1961 and was posthumously named Formula 1 world champion.
