To make a day of it

Schloss Hersberg stands in Immenstaad am Bodensee (Bodenseekreis), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Schloss Hersberg stands on a vine-covered hill west of Immenstaad am Bodensee, between Friedrichshafen and Meersburg, about 500 metres from Lake Constance. The building seen today, with its wide facade, central belvedere turret and two wings with gothic stepped gables, largely dates from around 1600, when the site served as a representative outpost of the imperial abbey of Ochsenhausen. The estate later passed through several princely families before becoming, from 1930 onward, a house of the Pallottine community, who ran a seminary and school there. Visitors can see a coherent building complex shaped by seventeenth century construction work, along with a rococo stucco ceiling in the former prelate's chamber.
