Schloss Favorite stands in Ludwigsburg (Landkreis Ludwigsburg), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Favorite stands on a rise north of Ludwigsburg's Residenzschloss, linked to it by a straight avenue. Built as a hunting lodge and summer villa for Duke Eberhard Ludwig, it forms a single Baroque ensemble together with the main palace and Schloss Monrepos. Its rooms still hold period furnishings that give a sense of courtly life, following a neoclassical remodelling of the interior in the early nineteenth century. Left to decay for much of the twentieth century, the building was brought back through a restoration begun around 1980.
