To make a day of it

Ruine Berneck stands in Schramberg (Landkreis Rottweil), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Ruine Berneck, also known as Ruine Tischneck, stands on a wooded rocky spur at 620 metres above sea level in the Bernecktal valley northeast of Tennenbronn. Little is known of its past beyond the fact that it belonged to the lords of Falkenstein and later Ramstein. What remains today are traces of a former residential tower, scattered wall fragments, and a surrounding ditch up to three metres deep. A stonemason's mark found here matches one on the Ruine Ramstein, suggesting the same mason worked on both sites around the same period.
