The Meckenheimersches Schloss stands in Lambsheim, on a site where a noble residence is documented as early as 1400. The present building, rebuilt in the mid 17th century after damage from the Thirty Years' War and later remodelled in 1740, keeps the hook shaped floor plan inherited from its predecessors along with an extensive vaulted cellar. Visitors can spot the octagonal late Baroque turret added during the 1740 works and the coat of arms of the Meckenheim family still set into the facade. The building now belongs to the municipality and serves administrative and community purposes rather than offering a museum visit.
