To make a day of it

Hallbergsches Schloss stands in Fußgönheim (Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis), in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Fußgönheim, a locality in Rhineland-Palatinate, is home to the Hallbergsches Schloss on its eastern side. This mansion was commissioned by Jakob Tillmann von Hallberg, chancellor of the Electoral Palatinate, and its construction took place from 1728 to 1731; a chapel wing featuring an altarpiece linked to Giovanni Antonio Pellegrini formed part of the original design. Over time the property changed hands repeatedly and found uses as varied as a storage facility and a cigar factory, before eventually being restored for religious purposes. Today it accommodates both St. Jakobus church and a museum dedicated to local heritage.
