Burg Altleiningen stands in Altleiningen (Landkreis Bad Dürkheim), in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Altleiningen Castle stands on a rocky spur above the Eckbach valley in the Palatinate, a mix of medieval ruin and later rebuilding. Founded in the early 12th century by the Counts of Leiningen, it was destroyed twice, during the Peasants' War of 1525 and again by French troops in 1690, before parts of it were reconstructed in the 1960s. Original wall sections survive, including the striking three-storey palace facade, alongside a rebuilt wing that now houses a youth hostel.
