To make a day of it
Kleines Schloss stands in Blankenburg (Landkreis Harz), in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Kleines Schloss stands in Blankenburg, at the foot of the Burgberg, next to the gardens of the larger Schloss. First built as a timber-framed garden house for the Blankenburg court in 1725, it was rebuilt in sandstone during the 1770s in a restrained Rococo style, with a facade marked by three projecting bays topped with curved gables. It now houses the town's tourist information office, the office of the Harzer Wandernadel hiking programme, and a small permanent exhibition on the history of Blankenburg and the House of Welf.
