Burgstall Dornstadt stands in Auhausen (Landkreis Donau-Ries), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Recorded dating: 8th century. No visits are on record for this building.
The Burgstall Dornstadt is what remains of an early medieval motte, built between the 8th and 10th centuries on a plot within the hamlet of Dornstadt, part of the municipality of Auhausen. A truncated, pyramid-shaped mound about five metres high and roughly twenty-two by twenty-two metres wide still survives, once topped by a timber tower house. A ditch three to three and a half metres deep protected the site to the north and northeast, while a natural slope shielded it to the southwest. It is thought to have served as the administrative seat of a minor noble family, possibly the lords of See and, around 1413, the lords of Geißelheim.
