The Bernburg ruin stands on the northern edge of Rottweil, in Baden-Württemberg. First recorded in the early 13th century, it belonged to the lords of Bernburg before being destroyed in 1417. The former complex was divided into three sections, a front, middle and rear castle, of which only scant remains of the enclosing wall and a tower from the front section survive today.
