The ruins of Vetzberg Castle stand on a hilltop above the village of Vetzberg, in the municipality of Biebertal. Built in the early 12th century by the Counts of Gleiberg, it later became a stronghold for a large number of co-heirs, some of whom used it as a base for raiding, which led to repeated sieges and destruction. What survives today is a keep over twenty metres high, a gable wall of the former hall, and remnants of the outer walls. The keep can be climbed as a viewing tower, giving views over the village and toward Gießen.
