Burg Unter-Falkenstein (Flintsbach am Inn) stands in Flintsbach am Inn (Landkreis Rosenheim), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Burg Unter-Falkenstein, also known as Neu-Falkenstein, is a ruined castle at the foot of the Großer and Kleiner Madron near Flintsbach am Inn. Built around 1300 to succeed the older, destroyed Burg Ober-Falkenstein, it later served as a ducal Bavarian seat of justice before passing through several noble families, including the Hundt and the counts of Preysing-Hohenaschau. Two fires, in 1784 and 1789, destroyed first the main keep and then the outer bailey. What remains today is the residential tower of the core castle, inhabited until 2009, and the foundations of the outer bailey.
