Burg Meidelstetten is a ruined hilltop castle standing at 829.5 metres above sea level, north of the village of Meidelstetten within the municipality of Hohenstein. Built between 1100 and 1150, it now survives only as fragments of core masonry and a retaining wall, along with shallow ditches and several hollows in the ground. The site appeals more to visitors drawn to modest archaeological remains and woodland walks than to grand architecture.
