Burg Trochtelfingen, also known as the Alte Burg, stands on a hilltop at 779 metres above sea level north of the town of Trochtelfingen in Baden-Württemberg. The lords of Trochtelfingen built it in the first half of the 12th century, likely as their ancestral seat, within an older prehistoric earthwork. Of the rectangular core castle, measuring nine by twenty-six metres, only the rampart and the moat remain. The Marienkapelle, a chapel added in 1660, is the only structure still standing on the site.
