To make a day of it

Burg Mahlspüren (bei den Burgäckern) stands in Mahlspüren im Tal (Landkreis Konstanz), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

Burg Mahlspüren, a vanished hilltop castle also known as Burgstall bei den Burgäckern, once stood on a rise of the Heuberg at 540 metres above sea level, west of Mahlspüren im Tal. Nothing of the structure remains above ground today: only a ditch, an earthen rampart and the field names Burgäcker and Hinterburg still mark the site. Built in the 11th or 12th century, it is thought to have been the seat of a local noble family until it was abandoned in the second half of the 13th century.

  • There are no opening hours or admission fees, as the site is a freely accessible ruin.
