To make a day of it

Château Saint-Pierre stands in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle (Gironde), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Château Saint-Pierre stands in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, in the Gironde, at the heart of a 17-hectare vineyard classified as a Grand Cru in 1855. Built of pale stone facing the Gironde estuary, it remained for a long time the least known of Saint-Julien's classified growths before being reunited as a single estate by the Triaud family in 1982. Visitors come here less for a grand historic building than for a wine estate whose past is marked by inheritance disputes and a slow reconstitution.
