What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le mémorial breton de la Lande de Justice de Crach date des 8e, 9e et 10e siècles. L'ancien hôtel est du début du 15e siècle, et appartenait à Jean de Malestroit, évêque de Nantes et chancelier du duc de Bretagne. En 1456, le château Gaillard fut vendu au duc de Bretagne qui y installa le Parlement qui resta en fonction jusqu'à l'annexion de la Bretagne à la France (1532). En 1554, il est vendu par le roi. L'édifice se compose de deux corps de bâtiments et conserve peintures et boiseries Renaissance, ainsi qu'un plafond à caissons. Les baies sont à meneaux. Côté cour, une tour polygonale en pierre de taille renferme un escalier à vis.
