The Château du Montot stands in the commune of Oudry, in Saône-et-Loire, on the banks of the small Oudrache stream. Of the fortified manor first recorded in the 14th century, only three round towers and a fragment of the main dwelling remain, the rest having been rebuilt in the late 19th century. Carved details survive on site, including coats of arms and medieval heads salvaged from the earlier structure, recalling the succession of families who held the estate over time.
