Set in a small valley in Saône-et-Loire, at the edge of the village of Chassy, this castle combines two wings flanked by round towers, a square tower and a hexagonal tower, built on the site of a fortified house dating back to 1056. The present structure, resulting from several building campaigns between the late 14th and early 16th centuries, still holds fireplaces, ogee-arched doorways and carved corbels. A private property still lived in, it can only be viewed from the outside, alongside its round dovecote and period outbuildings.
