What the French Ministry of Culture records

Jardins réalisés au 19e siècle par le paysagiste Edouard André. Une première machine élévatrice des eaux a été mise en place en 1851, au bord du Loir, remplacé par la suite par un tympan hydraulique. Il avait pour but d'alimenter un réseau de canaux servant à irriguer les prairies destinées au pacage des chevaux.
