Château du Guet stands in Castelnau-de-Montmiral (Tarn), in the Occitanie region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
At the heart of Castelnau-de-Montmiral, a village founded in 1222 by Raymond VII, Count of Toulouse, once stood the château du Guet, a stronghold whose name recalls the watch kept from this elevated spot in the Tarn region. Neither the English troops of the Black Prince during the Hundred Years' War nor the Protestant forces from Bruniquel during the Wars of Religion managed to seize the town. Left abandoned from the 17th century onward, the building was pulled down in 1819, and only scant traces of a staircase remain, at the site known as tour Toulze. The castle is still remembered on the town's coat of arms.
