Château du Coudray-Montbault stands in Lys-Haut-Layon (Maine-et-Loire), in the Pays de la Loire region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 16th century, 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

Set on a hilltop in Maine-et-Loire, overlooking the countryside near Vihiers, the château du Coudray-Montbault combines the remains of a medieval stronghold with the brick facades of a Renaissance house built around 1599. The ruins of the 13th-century fortified castle, still surrounded by a moat, stand alongside the buildings raised by Honorat de la Haye Montbault, decorated with green-glazed brick patterns. Nearby lies the former priory chapel of Saint-Jacques, which holds a recumbent effigy and an Entombment sculpture attributed to Michel Colombe.
