The château du Bois de Ros stands at the place that bears its name, in the commune of Limerzel, in the Morbihan department. Built in the 16th and 17th centuries from granite rubblestone, it retains a spiral staircase tower and a chapel that recall its past as a ducal hunting lodge and later a monastic hospice. Mullioned windows and a courtyard well still remain, markers of a rural Breton architecture whose character survived a partial 19th-century rebuilding.
