L'histoire et la construction de ce château peuvent remonter au 14e ou 15e siècle. Le château comprend une entrée fortifiée avec un pont en granit daté de 1761 et de grosses tours d'angle médiévales. A l'est et à l'ouest, les deux ailes de communs du 17e ou 18e siècle (écuries construites en 1850) et, au fond, le château refait en 1835, se substituant à un bâtiment du 17e siècle qui fut incendié en 1793. La rampe de l'escalier date de cette époque.
