What the French Ministry of Culture records

Edifice construit avant 1540, se composant d'un corps de bâtiment rectangulaire flanqué, à ses angles nord-est et nord-ouest, de deux grosses tours. Il possédait primitivement deux avant-corps qui flanquaient la façade méridionale, démolis en 1787 car en mauvais état. La restauration de 1880 fit disparaître celui du sud-est, mais les arrachements de celui du sud-ouest sont encore visibles. A l'intérieur, le rez-de-chaussée présente une suite de salons. Le premier étage est réservé aux chambres. Lucarnes et cheminées évoquent Chambord, ainsi que le détail caractéristique des plaques de schiste incrustées. L'escalier de pierre est accusé en façades par les baies jumelles encadrées de doubles pilastres, qui l'éclairaient à chaque étage.
