Verderonne castle stands on an island in the large lake of its estate, straddling the communes of Verderonne and Rosoy in the Oise department. The present building, completed in 1725 for the marquis de Beaucourt, retains two round towers from a 13th century fortified castle at the ends of its southwest facade. The grounds still hold several protected outbuildings, including an octagonal dovecote, a Dutch greenhouse and a theatre with its original machinery.
