The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, first quarter of the 16th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
What the French Ministry of Culture records
Au 15e siècle, le château est attribué à une famille d'origine écossaise. L'édifice a été remanié aux 16e, 17e et 19e siècles. Le château formait un grand carré autour d'une cour intérieure. Il n'en subsiste qu'une poterne datée de 1567 avec des décors portés de la Renaissance, et le donjon accolé d'une tour. Les courtines ont disparu. L'intérieur a été largement modifié au 19e siècle. L'aile nord-est est couverte d'une charpente à chevrons portant ferme, édifiée au 17e siècle.
