To make a day of it

Château de Théribus stands in Le Mesnil-Théribus (Oise), in the Hauts-de-France region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 17th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

Built at the very start of the 17th century for a younger son of the Mornay family, the château de Théribus stands in Le Mesnil-Théribus, in the Oise, with its central main building flanked by pavilions and a courtyard opening onto a basin. The estate passed through four centuries of owners, from local aristocrats to wealthy Beauvais merchants, before coming into the hands of Parisian families. Visitors can see a dovecote that has kept its clay nesting boxes and rotating ladder, along with a park reshaped in the English style during the 19th century and a wood laid out with old pathways.
