Château de Seilhac stands in Seilhac (Corrèze), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: second half of the 13th century, 16th century, 19th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

What the French Ministry of Culture records

Une châtellenie existait dès le début du 12e siècle. La tour a dû être bâtie fin 13e début 14e siècle. Pendant les guerres de Religion, en 1586, le château fut démoli puis reconstruit. Pendant la Révolution, le château fut dévasté en 1792, puis exploité comme carrière de pierres. Si le rez-de-chaussée conserve des structures médiévales et la tour sud une coupole médiévale, les autres parties du château furent rhabillées au début du 19e siècle dans un style d'inspiration Renaissance pour la façade sud-ouest et 19e siècle pour la façade sud-est. La tour est polygonale avec des ouvertures Renaissance. La porte est cantonnée de pilastres avec chapiteaux et corniches moulurés. Au-dessus de la corniche, sont sculptés des chapiteaux ornés de volutes. Le chemin de ronde et les mâchicoulis ne sont pas d'origine. Prenant appui sur le mur à l'ouest de la tour se trouve une tourelle en échauguette abritant un escalier à vis qui menait à l'ancien chemin de ronde. La tour sud est voûtée, au rez-de-chaussée, d'une coupole médiévale. L'escalier à double révolution a été bâti après la Première guerre mondiale.
