What the French Ministry of Culture records

Première mention du château en 1157. Le château est incendié en 1560, lors des guerres de Religion, puis reconstruit dans le style Renaissance avec deux corps de bâtiments en L. L'angle intérieur est occupé par la tour d'escalier carrée comprenant l'entrée principale. Par symétrie, à l'est, se trouve une tour carrée et les deux sont reliées par une galerie ouverte au sud. La porte d'entrée porte la date de 1589. Aménagements au cours de la seconde moitié du 17e siècle, dont les travaux intérieurs de l'aile nord-sud. Les cheminées et les stucs des chambres au premier étage datent du 18e siècle.
