Set on a platform surrounded by wide water-filled moats, the château de Saint-Sauveur stands east of Sainte-Honorine-la-Chardonne, in the Orne department. Rebuilt around 1650 in granite by Jacob de Grésille, baron of Saint-Sauveur, it has kept its original layout on either side of a stone staircase with a straight double flight. It is approached by a bastion-shaped terrace and two balustraded bridges crossing the moats.
