What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château de village datant du 18e siècle avec des structures de la fin du 15e siècle, organisé autour de deux cours : celle des bâtiments d'habitation et celle des communs. Cette répartition remonte au début du 16e siècle. Les dispositions intérieures remontent sans doute au 18e siècle. A l'est, le corps de logis reconstruit en 1724 s'accompagne de la création d'un jardin. Cette aile est rythmée par un faux avant-corps central et deux pavillons latéraux en saillie. Les pièces conservent un décor de gypseries et témoignent de l'adoption, par la noblesse provinciale, des créations parisiennes. En 1823, le jardin est agrandi et replanté par le savant Louis-Augustin d'Hombres-Firmas.
