To make a day of it

Château de Rambuteau stands in Ozolles (Saône-et-Loire), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: second quarter of the 19th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Standing on a hillside in Ozolles, in Saône-et-Loire, the Château de Rambuteau combines a 16th-century tower and chapel with a rebuilding carried out in the second quarter of the 19th century by Claude-Philibert de Rambuteau. Its façades, designed in a style recalling the early 18th century, frame interiors decorated in neo-Louis XVI style, opening onto a landscaped park. A private property still held by the same family, the château is not open to visitors, though its architecture can be seen from around the estate.
