The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 14th century, fourth quarter of the 16th century, 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château composé d'un bâtiment rectangulaire remanié au milieu du 18e siècle sur trois niveaux, plus les combles. Au nord de ce corps principal, une porte ouvre sur une cour composée à l'ouest d'un bâtiment en pierre postérieur à 1843, et à l'est d'un bâtiment en partie reconstruit sur les murs médiévaux. Le logis principal comprend, en rez-de-chaussée, une pièce lambrissée Louis XV et un escalier en bois de la même époque (1594) restauré au 19e siècle. Au premier étage, une chapelle peinte au 19e siècle. A l'étage supérieur, une autre pièce contient des peintures pieuses datées de 1849. La partie nord de la toiture repose sur un mur partiellement recouvert de peintures murales. Les dépendances, aménagées en ateliers et dépôts par les prêtres, conservent des murs médiévaux ainsi qu'une cave voûtée, un puits sans doute du 14e siècle, et un four. Le jardin conserve le vestige d'une partie rasée du château avec un mur à coussiège, ainsi que les restes de fortifications et des traces de fossés. Propriété des ducs de Savoie.
