Château de Nitray stands in Athée-sur-Cher (Indre-et-Loire), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: first half of the 16th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Built in the early sixteenth century at Athée-sur-Cher for Aimery Lopin, mayor of Tours, Nitray castle is representative of early Renaissance architecture in Touraine. The main house, a fifteenth century pavilion, outbuildings and a dovecote are arranged around the courtyard of honour. Seventeen families have owned the estate since its construction, including that of General Liébert in the nineteenth century. Gabled dormer windows, stair towers and a gatehouse flanked by two towers make up most of what can be seen from outside.
