What the French Ministry of Culture records

Seigneurie mentionnée dès 1378. Le château est un édifice médiéval ayant subi des transformations à la fin du 16e et au début du 17e siècle. Il est doté d'une tour maîtresse qui remonte sans doute au 14e siècle (escalier à vis intérieur ; archères). Le corps de logis principal est doté d'un grand escalier en vis placé dans une tour hors-oeuvre à l'arrière, et d'un système de défense équipé de nombreuses canonnières. A proximité du château se trouve un oratoire du 15e siècle à voûte en berceau. Le château se trouve au centre d'une grande enceinte carrée dont il reste les communs, une tour d'angle tronquée et le portail d'entrée à flèche. Des douves entouraient le château et la cour de ferme.
