Place forte importante dont l'existence est attestée au 13e siècle. Les ruines sont situées en surplomb d'un méandre du Lot. Subsistent le donjon central, la première enceinte avec une tour ronde et différents éléments défensifs, la deuxième enceinte. Entre les deux enceintes, plusieurs terrasses ont été aménagées en jardins.
