The Château de Meux stands in the Charente-Maritime region, next to the village's Romanesque church, behind a basket-handle arched gateway opening onto a courtyard enclosed by tile-roofed outbuildings. Built in the second half of the 15th century, this flamboyant-style manor features a hexagonal tower pierced by a stone-carved window, along with remnants of two former corner towers, of which only machicolations survive. Inside, fireplaces and carved door lintels from the same period remain. Around the building, a French-style garden has been recreated with cone-shaped yews, a rose garden, a kitchen garden and an orchard.
