Château de Marcellus stands in Marcellus (Lot-et-Garonne), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. Overlooking the Garonne valley, the château de Marcellus stands today in the form it took at the end of the 18th century, on the site of a medieval fortress once linked to the Albret family. The U shaped main building, flanked by its pavilions, retains ordered facades and a porch with Ionic columns typical of Bordeaux architecture of that period. Inside, the large and small drawing rooms keep their original decoration, painted by Joseph Antoine and completed in 1775.
