To make a day of it

Château de Manneville stands in Ponts sur Seulles (Calvados), in the Normandie region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument. No visits are on record for this building.

At the hamlet of Manneville, between Creully sur Seulles and Ponts sur Seulles, this Louis XIII style château was built in the 17th century for the Turgot family, who owned it across several generations. The main block, flanked by two wings added before the century's end, stands out for its Orival stone façades, Ionic pilasters and the bell tower crowning its Mansard roof. The approach runs along an avenue of three-hundred-year-old purple and green beech trees, roughly 800 metres long. Inside, mementos from the 17th and 18th centuries survive alongside pieces from the Empire period, linked in particular to Marshal Mouton, Count of Lobau.
