What the French Ministry of Culture records

Depuis les temps préhistoriques, le lieu a successivement été occupé par une villa gallo-romaine et un château médiéval. Situé en bordure de l'Isle, le château fut entièrement reconstruit en 1818 à l'emplacement de vestiges médiévaux. De l'état ancien, seule subsiste la chapelle édifiée en 1435. L'édifice n'a subi aucune modification depuis, et témoigne de l'architecture et des décors du début du 19e siècle. Le domaine comprend également un parc attribué au paysagiste Bülher, ainsi qu'une chapelle médiévale.
