In Bergerac, the château de Lespinassat stands on the site of a former fortified house, replaced in the 17th century by a gentleman's residence that the d'Alba family enlarged in the 18th century with a gallery and a monumental facade. The park faces a horseshoe-shaped staircase with a wrought-iron rail, leading to a projecting bay topped with a pediment. Dry moats crossed by three bridges surround the property, flanked by entrance pavilions, opposite former wine cellars built over low vaulted cellars.
