What the French Ministry of Culture records

La gentilhommière succède à une ancienne maison forte. Construite dans sa majeure partie au 17e siècle, elle fut augmentée au 18e d'une galerie créant en vis à vis du parc une façade monumentale dont le point fort est un escalier en fer à cheval avec une rampe en fer forgé menant à un avant-corps à fronton. Des pavillons ont été bâtis de chaque côté des entrées est et ouest, amorçant ainsi les limites d'une terrasse entourée de douves sèches franchies par un pont. Face au château, au sud, se trouvent les anciens chais bâtis sur des caves à voûtes surbaissées.
