To make a day of it

Château de Lasserre stands in Lasserre (Lot-et-Garonne), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument. The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

In Lasserre, in the Lot-et-Garonne region, this château dating from the late 16th century was built between 1595 and 1602 for Jean-Paul d'Esparbès de Lussan, seneschal of Agenais, first by the Parisian architect Marin de la Vallée and then by Paul Vaudoyer. Designed as a residential dwelling after the religious wars had ended, it is notable for its three monumental carved fireplaces in its largest rooms. Passed down through the Narbonne-Pelet and then Digeon de Monteton families, it was restored in the 19th century by Léopold de Gervain.
